Are you a strategic consultive sales expert with a deep understanding of Defence? Emanate are looking for a commercially savvy Business Development Manager
to take charge of client engagement, drive revenue growth, and shape technology-led solutions across the Defence sector.

For over 40 years, this organisation has partnered with the Australian Defence Force, co-creating innovative digital solutions that support Australia’s strategic and operational readiness.
You'll be a key figure in shaping and growing relationships with senior Defence stakeholders – influencing multi-million-dollar programs and opening up new business opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own and grow strategic relationships across Defence and Government sectors.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead pursuits from early engagement through to close.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, aligning solutions with client priorities and mission needs.
- Lead the development of tailored technology strategies to solve complex Defence challenges.
- Collaborate closely with pre-sales, delivery, and technical teams to build compelling value propositions.
- Influence long-term account strategy and contribute to pipeline and revenue growth.
- 5+ years’ experience in business development, solution sales, or client engagement within the Defence or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated success leading large pursuits or sales programs with Defence or Federal Government.
- Proven ability to sell complex, high-value IT solutions in consultative or strategic sales environments.
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Background in strategy, consulting, or Defence program delivery highly regarded.
- Able to lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes in a fast-moving environment.
- Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a Baseline Clearance with the ability and desire to get NV1.

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance. Dual nationals or candidates with citizenship from certain countries may not be eligible under Defence security policy.
