Emanate Technology is partnering with a large, complex organisation undergoing a major ERP transformation to source an experienced Business Analyst with strong finance and procurement domain expertise.
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in a significant SAP S/4HANA implementation, working closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive process improvement, enable change and deliver tangible outcomes.
About the role
As the Business Analyst, you will support a large-scale transformation across finance and procurement functions, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA. You will work across current-state and future-state processes, identify gaps, document impacts, and translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep engagement with stakeholders, contribution to testing and training activities, and close collaboration with technical and change teams to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
What you will be doing
- Analyse and evaluate AS-IS and TO-BE business processes across finance and procurement domains
- Identify, document and communicate gaps between current and future states
- Elicit, analyse and document complex business requirements and translate them into process maps and functional artefacts
- Work closely with business owners, SMEs and technical teams to align requirements and solutions
- Contribute to UAT planning, test script development and execution
- Identify risks and provide practical, data-driven recommendations
- Support training and readiness activities to ensure successful system adoption
- Partner with change resources to articulate future-state processes and clearly define business impacts
- Build strong, trusted relationships across multiple stakeholder groups in a complex operating environment
- 6+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, ideally across finance operations, procurement and accounting
- Strong experience working with ERP platforms, including SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC 6.0 (FICO, procurement-related modules)
- Proven capability in end-to-end business process mapping and analysis
- Solid experience supporting testing (UAT), training preparation and documentation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-moving environments
- High attention to detail, governance awareness and a structured approach to delivery
- Experience working within Queensland Government or other large public sector environments
- Exposure to tools such as SAP Signavio or similar process modelling platforms
- Business Analyst certification (e.g. CBAP)
- Experience working across finance and procurement functions simultaneously
