Australian Federal Government client

In collaboration with the Australian Federal Government, Emanate Technology is looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join a high-performing team operating in the digital health and electronic prescribing space. If you have a strong background in technical business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and conformance processes—and you're passionate about improving medicine safety —this is your opportunity to contribute to meaningful national outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Scoping and planning work to align digital health vendors with national infrastructure
  • Facilitating workshops to gather, validate and document business and technical requirements
  • Coordinating across internal teams and external vendors to ensure conformance with digital infrastructure specs
  • Supporting PMO-style functions to streamline processes and align efficiencies across programs
  • Driving user journey mapping, process improvement and risk analysis within software conformance
  • Collaborating closely with pharmacists, digital health specialists, SMEs and system architects
  • Contributing to gap analysis and system design with a focus on electronic prescribing
  • Supporting Agile delivery through backlog grooming, sprint planning and user story documentation

What you need to bring
  • Proven success delivering business analysis in agile, fast-paced, and technical environments
  • Hands-on experience defining and documenting requirements for both internal teams and external vendors
  • Background in developing user stories, journey maps and process flows to support software delivery
  • Track record contributing to digital transformation or enterprise software development projects
  • Capability managing multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and shifting scopes
  • History of building strong collaborative relationships within cross-functional teams
  • Confidence facilitating workshops to gather, validate and refine business and technical needs
  • Demonstrated ability performing risk analysis within a technical or vendor-integrated setting

Bonus points for…
  • Familiarity working in federal government or regulated project environments
  • Exposure applying pharmaceutical or electronic prescribing knowledge
  • Knowledge using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence in Agile teams
  • Understanding supporting conformance, compliance, or system integrations across vendors
  • Strength applying emotional intelligence to build trust in complex stakeholder landscapes

Important to know
  • Initial 8 month contract + 2 x 12 month extensions
  • This role may require federal government security clearance and as such we are only able to accept applications from candidates with Australian Citizenship.
  • You must also have the ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
