Our client is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure DevOps) to join a long-term, high-impact government project here in Canberra. You’ll be part of a passionate, tight-knit technical team working on a critical national initiative, helping design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.

☁️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure that’s secure, scalable, and reliable.
- Building clever Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
- Creating automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Getting hands-on with automation tools like Ansible, scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or CLI.
- Monitoring and optimising performance (and spend!) across the cloud environment.
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and project teams to deliver outcomes that actually stick.
- Deep expertise across Microsoft Azure services (storage, networking, functions, and more).
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Strong grasp of DevOps culture and tooling — you like things repeatable, reliable, and fast.
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Azure Bicep.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and containerisation/orchestration (Kubernetes, anyone?).
- AGSVA clearance (essential).
- Relevant certifications — Azure Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Expert are a big plus.
