I’m working with a client delivering large-scale cloud transformation—and they’re looking for an Azure Cloud DBA Engineer who can bring serious database expertise into the cloud era.

🚀 What you’ll be doing
You’ll sit at the intersection of cloud engineering and database expertise, helping build secure, scalable, high-performance environments.
- Lead end-to-end database migrations to Azure SQL (PaaS)
- Administer and optimise databases across multiple technologies
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune performance and availability
- Build and support secure Azure cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams on best practices
- Contribute to migration planning, discovery, and cutover activities
- Help drive cost optimisation and governance initiatives
You’re equal parts DBA specialist and cloud enthusiast—someone who knows data inside out and is comfortable working in Azure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL and database migrations
- Expertise across databases like MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB or Oracle
- Experience with Azure Data Migration tools and PaaS environments
- Knowledge of automation (PowerShell), CI/CD, and Azure DevOps
- Understanding of cloud security, identity, and networking
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimise in fast-moving environments
- Azure certifications are a plus.
