We’re partnering with a nationally renowned organisation undergoing significant digital uplift, and they’re looking for an experienced Application Tester to join their transformation team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring quality across both mobile and web applications, working closely with developers, analysts, vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver high-performing, reliable and user-focused digital products.
This role suits a tester who enjoys hands-on system and regression testing, thrives in Agile environments, and brings strong attention to detail across complex, high-volume transactional systems.
What you will be doing
- Executing system, functional and regression testing across mobile and web applications.
- Designing and maintaining test cases, test plans and testing documentation aligned to business and technical requirements.
- Analysing technical designs and solution approaches to ensure appropriate test coverage.
- Managing defects end-to-end, including triage, investigation and retesting.
- Working with internal and external teams to ensure test environments and data are available and fit for purpose.
- Reviewing outputs from automated testing and assisting in troubleshooting failed test runs.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of testing practices, processes and quality standards.
- Supporting multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing project and BAU testing demands.
- Proven experience as an Application Tester, ideally within Agile delivery environments.
- Strong background in testing high-volume transactional platforms, particularly within lotteries or similarly regulated digital ecosystems (ideally Jumbo Lotteries Platform).
- ISTQB Foundation certification (essential).
- Hands-on experience preparing test cases, executing manual tests and identifying defects.
- Ability to interpret business requirements, user stories and technical specifications.
- Solid understanding of test management tools such as Azure DevOps or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience with digital marketing, CMS or CRM ecosystems (e.g., Sitecore, Adobe, Braze, Dynamics).
- Familiarity with SQL, Postman or similar tools for retrieving and validating test data.
- Exposure to automation frameworks or working alongside automated test pipelines.
- Background in industries with strict compliance, security or audit expectations.
