About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced AI Engineer to support a major uplift of the organisation’s data and analytics capability. This role will focus on enhancing the Power BI platform, improving data accessibility, and enabling deeper business insights. You’ll work closely with product, data, and operational teams to design and deliver AI-driven solutions that support smarter decision-making and automation across the organisation.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the uplift and optimisation of the Power BI platform, ensuring high-quality dashboards and reporting
  • Build and maintain AI and automation solutions that support operational and commercial decision-making
  • Work with large, complex datasets to surface insights on business spend, performance, and efficiency
  • Develop scalable data pipelines and models using Azure services
  • Design and implement solutions leveraging Azure SQL, SQL Server, and related data technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and best practice engineering standards
  • Support ongoing enhancements, experimentation, and continuous improvement across AI and analytics initiatives
Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience as an AI Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure(Data Factory, Synapse, Functions, Logic Apps, etc.)
  • Advanced SQL skills, including Azure SQL and relational database design
  • Proven experience in uplifting or modernising Power BI environments
  • Ability to work with complex datasets and build scalable data pipelines
  • Experience delivering AI, ML, or automation solutions in a commercial environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Background in utilities, energy, or other complex operational environments is highly regarded
