We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Canberra-based IT solutions provider with a strong reputation for delivering secure, scalable technology outcomes into the federal government sector.
They are seeking a high-performing Account Manager to take ownership of key government accounts, drive new business opportunities, and work closely with internal technical teams to deliver value-led solutions across cloud, security, infrastructure, and managed services.

About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships across federal government agencies. You’ll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, shaping solution offerings, and driving account growth through strategic engagement and service excellence.
This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the government procurement landscape and enjoys working in a collaborative, solutions-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of existing government clients and grow strategic relationships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the public sector
  • Collaborate with technical teams to scope and propose tailored solutions
  • Stay across market trends, competitor activity, and evolving client needs
  • Support pipeline development, reporting, and forecasting
What We’re Looking For
  • Demonstrated success in IT sales or account management, preferably within the federal government space
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and relationship management
  • Familiarity with technology solutions including cloud, infrastructure, security, or managed services
  • Strong communication skills and a consultative, client-first mindset
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Australian Citizenship is essential due to client requirements
